Shankhachil

Shankhachil is an Indian Benagli language with historical drama films. The film is a joint venture for India-Bangladesh in 2016 written by Goutam Ghose. The film was named after Brahminy Kite used by poets like Jibanananda Das. The cast of the film Includes Prosenjit Chatterjee as Muntasir Chowdhury Badal, Shajbati as Rupsha, and Kusum Sikder as Laila. The film won a number of awards- National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Bengali, Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Bengali, and many others. The story shows the consequences felt by people at the time of partition. The story revolves around a schoolteacher with his daughter who is seriously ill. They lived in a village in modern Bangladesh.
