Schindler’s List is a 1993 American English - language film directed and produced by Steven Spielberg. It is an epic historical drama starring Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley, Ralph Fiennes, Caroline Goodall, Jonathan Sagall and Embeth Davidtz. The film follows Oskar Schindler, an ethnic German industrialist from Czechoslovacia who along with his wife Emilie Schindler saved and helped more than a thousand Polish-Jewish refugees from the Holocaust by giving them jobs in his factories during World War II. Businessman Oskar Schindler who arrived in Krakow in 1939 has a solid plan to make fortune from World War II, which has just begun. After joining the Nazi party primarily for political expediency, he starts to staffs his factory with Jewish workers for similarly practical reasons that is to run his business and earn a lot of cash. Stern helps Schindler arrange financing for the factory. Meanwhile, Schindler maintains good relations with the Nazis in order to enjoy wealth and status. When the SS begins exterminating Jews in the Krakow ghetto, Schindler arranges to have his workers protected to keep his factory in operation, but soon realizes that in doing so, he is also saving innocent lives.
