Scarface is a 1983 American English - language film directed by Brian De Palma and produced by Martin Bregman. It is a crime drama film starring Al Pacino. The movie follows the story of Tony Montana who manages to leave Cuba during the Mariel exodus of 1980. Eventually, he ends up in a Florida refugee camp along with his friend Manny who has a way out for the both of them. The two of them undertake a contract killing assignment and in exchange, arrangements will be made to get a green card. He soon starts working for a drug dealer, Frank Lopez and shows his capabilities when a deal with Colombian drug dealers goes bad. He also brings a new level of violence to Miami. Tony is protective of his younger sister but as soon as his mother learns about what he does for a living, she disowns him. Tony is impatient and wants it all, including Frank's empire and his mistress Elvira Hancock. However, once he is on the top, Tony's outrageous actions make him a target and everything comes crumbling down.
