Satya is a 1998 Hindi film that follows the journey of a young man named Satya who comes to Mumbai from South India in search of a job. He finds himself falsely accused and jailed, where he meets an underworld boss, Bhiku Mhatre, who takes him under his wing. Satya slowly rises through the ranks of Bhiku's gang and becomes the most influential member. Meanwhile, he meets Vidya, his neighbour, and the two fall in love. However, Satya's criminal life puts their relationship to the test. As he becomes more powerful in the gang, Satya is forced to make difficult decisions that will impact his life forever.
