Saaransh

Saaransh is a 1984 Indian Hindi - language film directed by Mahesh Bhatt. It is a drama film starring Anupam Kher, Rohini Hattangadi and Soni Razdan. The movie follows the story of B.V. Pradhan whose son dies 3 months back but, he is still in shock. With their son dead, He and his wife, Parvati have no source of income left, therefore, they rent out one of their apartments to a struggling actress, Sujata who is dating Vilas, son of a wealthy politician. Sujata gets pregnant but Vilas refuses to accept her in front of her father. Her father knew that Vilas is lying, still he persuades Sujata to abort the baby. She disagrees and Pradhan takes her home to help her. Parvati believes that the child is going to be reincarnated as Ajay, therefore, takes care of Sujata. Meanwhile, Vilas’s father does everything to get the baby abort. At last, Pradhan manages to help Sujata and Vilas in running away and leading a happy life. He also explains his wife that the baby is not Ajay and that Ajay will never come back. Parvati decides to commit suicide but Pradhan explains her that Saaransh of his life is in her beautiful wrinkles, and they have both done a good deed in helping Sujata's baby survive despite the problems she faced.
