Rockstar

Rockstar is an Indian Hindi - language romantic film directed by Imtiaz Ali. It is a musical drama film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Piyush Mishra and Nargis Fakhri. The movie follows the journey of Janardhan Jakhar (Jordan). He is a Jat boy based in Delhi and studies in Delhi University. He dreams of becoming a rockstar one day. He is on very good terms with the canteen owner, Khatana and shares his dreams with him. Khatana jokingly says that it is necessary to get your heart broken to become a successful rockstar. Jordan takes this seriously and proposes Heer, who is known as the heart – breaking machine in the college. Heers laughs at him and rejects him. Eventually, Jordan and Heer become good friends and spend a lot of time together. Heer is married after some time and leaves for Prague with her husband. Meanwhile, Jordan is thrown out of his home as his brothers accuse him of stealing money. This leaves him all heart – broken and lonely. He seeks shelter in a Dargah and sings there. A music company owner hears him and wants to sign. Jordan’s journey as a rockstar starts from here but there is a lot to come his way in the future.
