Requiem for a Dream, is a 2000 American psychology drama film, directed by Darren Aronofsky. The movie revolves around four characters related to each other who ends up in a worse situation due to drug abuse. Sara Goldfarb, a widow, and mother to Harry begins a respective crash diet to fit into a red dress when she gets an invite to her favorite game show. The craziness to be on a show forces Sara to intake amphetamines to control her appetite. Harry and his friend Tyrone get arrested for heroin supply and usage, whereas Marion, Harry’s girlfriend, gets addicted to heroin and even subjects herself to a humiliating sex show in exchange for heroin. The four curls into a fetal position while Sara imagines alternative life for them if they would not have been dragged into this.
