Rajnigandha

Rajnigandha is a 1974 Hindi - language drama film directed by Basu chatterjee. It is a romantic movie starring Amol palekar, Vidya Sinha and Dinesh Thakur. The film is based on the short story ‘Yahi sach hai’ written by Mannu Bhandari. The movie follows the story of a graduate, Deepa who lives in Delhi. She is in love with Sanjay and the two want to get married. Sanjay is a kind and good human being but at the same time, he is careless and forgetful. Deepa goes to Mumbai for a job interview where she meets Navin. Navin and Deepa used to date but got separated due to some differences. Navin is totally opposite of Sanjay. He is punctual and takes good care of Deepa while she is in Mumbai. Deepa starts to develop feelings for him. Upon returning to Delhi, Deepa finds her torn between the two men in her life. Meanwhile, she is informed that she got the job in Mumbai. At the same time, Sanjay tells her about his promotion. Deepa takes the big decision and decides to marry Sanjay.
