A documentary titled Raiders of the Lost Art: Hitler's Art Dealer follows Hildebrand Gurlitt, Hitler's art dealer, as he amassed thousands of works of art during World War II, many of them pilfered from artists under persecution. A sizable trove of missing masterpieces was discovered in 2013 in his son's Munich apartment. The film explores Gurlitt's contentious past, his relationship to Hitler's proposed Führermuseum, and the convoluted fallout from this extraordinary finding.
