Prasthanam is an Indian Telugu language film. It is a political drama written and directed by Deva Katta & produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni under the banner of VRC Media & Entertainment. The film won three Filmfare awards and was presented at the International Film Festival of India. The film was dubbed in Tamil and Hindi. The film was remade in Hindi and Bengali with the same title. The film revolves around a political party and rivalry between a natural heir and a deserving person. The film began where Loki took over a rural political power from Galla Dasharsharath Rama Naidu. Naidu asked Loki to marry his widowed daughter-in-law whose husband was killed by the opposition party. Mitranand is Loki’s stepson and Chinna is his son. Years later whom will he choose to be the face of the party.
