Poor Things

Poor Things is a science fiction drama with elements of romance and comedy based on  Alasdair Gray's novel of the same name. The plot of the movie follows Bella Baxter, a young lady in Victorian London who commits suicide and is brought back to life by a scientist. She then sets out on a journey of self-discovery. Bella a women with an infant's body run off with a debauched lawyer on a grand adventure. During her adventures she realizes her true purpose. Screenplay for the film is written by Tony McNamara. The film is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. It stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Jerrod Carmichael, Christopher Abbott in major roles. Margaret Qualley, Suzy Bemba, Kathryn Hunter, Hanna Schygulla feature in the film as supporting characters.
