Philadelphia, a 1993 movie, is directed by Jonathan Demme. It is an American legal drama film which follows the story of Lawyer Andrew Beckett, working at a powerful Philadelphia law firm, who lies about his sexuality and HIV status to avoid compromising his career. To his dismay, Andrew’s co-worker notices a lesion on his forehead, resulting in losing the job. Andrew decides to sue the company for discrimination and finally finds a lawyer, Joe Miller, willing to help him. The legal drama takes place and both the parties come with their argument in the courtroom. The final verdict comes in favor of Andrew, but shortly afterward, his family loses him to death.
