Nayak: The Real hero is a 2001 Indian Hindi - language political action thriller film directed by S. Shankar. The film follows the story of Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, a journalist at Q TV. Shivaji finds out some evidence about the CM Balraj Chauhan and arranges for an interview where he reveals his misdeeds. Following this, Chauhan challenges Shivaji to be the CM for a day and understands his plight. Shivaji accepts and on his day of governance problems of the general public are taken care of and he also gets Chauhan arrested. However, Chauhan manages to get out on bail and plans to kill Shivaji. Meanwhile, Shivaji’s popularity is increasing among the public and he is elected the next CM. Shivaji continues to perform good deeds and help the public along with getting the corrupt officers arrested. This doesn’t go well with Chauhan, therefore, he, along with his allies, always try to create problems for Shivaji along with constantly trying to kill him. But his every attempt fails miserably. Eventually, Shivaji gets stuck in one of the traps set by Chauhan. However, this gives Shivaji a chance to destroy Chauhan and he grabs this opportunity. After this, the state makes major progress making all the residents happy.
