Namak halaal is a 1982 Indian Hindi - language masala film directed by Prakash Mehra and written by Kader Khan with music by Bappi Lahiri and lyrics by Anjaan. The movie starts with Bhim Singh as a bodyguard of Seth raja singh who protects him from his step-brother Girdhar Singh. Bhim is Raja’s most trusted man and he appoints Bhim’s wife Savitri as his trustee and legal guardian of his son, Raja Kumar if something happens to him. Coincidentally, Bhim Singh and Raja Singh are killed by Girdhar Singh on the same day. However, nobody suspects Girdhar Singh and everybody blames Savitri as she had a motive to kill. Savitri hands over her son, Arjun to his grandfather and goes to take care of Raja Kumar. Arjun joins as a bellboy in a five-star restaurant owned by Raja Kumar. Hotel manager Ranjit singh is Girdhar Singh’s son and plans to kill raja. Arjun gradually comes to know about his past and vows to protect Raja like his father did. Arjun and Raja join forces to destroy Ranjit Singh and save their family.
