Nagin is a 1976 Hindi-language horror film, produced and directed by Rajkumar kohli under the Shankar movies banner. The film follows the life of Vijay who is looking for shape shifting snakes as it is believed that after a certain age, snakes can take up human form. One day, while roaming around in the jungle, Vijay saves the life of a man from a wild hawk. The man introduces himself as a shape shifting snake and also, introduces his lover, a female shape shifting snake. Vijay was shocked to see and went on to tell his friends, Raj, Rajesh, Uday, Kiran and Suraj. They don’t believe him and come to have a look themselves. In the jungle, they secretly look at the snakes. When the man takes up the original form of a cobra to get back to his lover, Kiran kills it as he thinks that it is going to hurt the woman in front of it. This angers the cobra’s lover and she vows to take revenge of her lover’s murder.
