Nadan becomes a tribute to the Malayalam theatre and also features famous scenes from the dramas "Ningalenne Communistakki" and "Mudiyanaya Puthran" from the Kerala People’s Arts Club. From the director’s choice, Kamal also cast former theatre artists for his film. Theatre plays history in today's date when films are released on the big screen, and entertainment is found on television. Nadan acknowledges the known and unknown figures in the history of theatre and beautifully inscribed a story, starring Jayaram in the leads. Jayaram, in the role of Devdas Sargavedi, receives the legacy of theatre from his father and grandfather, but in his time, technology has taken its pace and filled the void of entertainment, where the entertainment reaches you. With the plot of shrunken theatre popularity, the movie paces up when the theatre artists deny giving up and stand up with their talents and revive their mighty art.
