Naam-O-Nishaan

Aarti lives with her young brother Sanjay Verma, and her mother. She joins a company owned by Jolly. Vijay likes Aarti but is never able to express his feelings to her. Eventually, Vijay's friend Ravi ends up getting engaged to Aarti. While Ravi departs on a tour, Jolly manages to find an opportunity to rape Aarti leaving, her traumatized. Thereafter, Ravi is forced to leave Aarti, and Vijay proposes to her, but Aarti not wanting to burden Vijay ends up being a courtesan. A few months later, her brother on his arrival back to his hometown from the army, comes to know what had happened in his absence and decides to kill Jolly. Unfortunately, Sanjay dies in the process. In a state of vengeance, Aarti kills Jolly. Will she be jailed? Will she ever marry Vijay?
