Monsoon Wedding

Monsoon Wedding, a 2001 movie, is directed by Mira Nair. It is a romantic-comedy and dramatic film, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Lillete Dubey, and Shefali Shah. Lalit and his wife Pimmi Verma, prepare for their daughter Aditi’s marriage to Hemant. While the marriage preparation goes on, all the family members come together for this celebration and ceremonies. Later, due to a lavish wedding organized for Aditi causes Lalit to ask for money from his friends and colleagues, which led him through some embarrassment. Meanwhile, Ria, played by Shefali Shah, tries to avoid Tej, Lalit’s brother-in-law. Even though Tej offers to pay for Ria to attend university in the U.S, she feels uncomfortable in his presence. A few days before her marriage, Aditi sleeps with her married boss, Vikram, and decides to come clean in front of Hemant. Ria, on the other hand, reveals Tej molesting her as a child and leaves the wedding.
