Mirza Ghalib is the Urdu language Indian biographical film. The film is based on the life of a well-known poet Mirza Galib written by Rajinder Singh Bedi, directed and produced by Sohrab Modi distributed by Minerva Movietone. The music of the film was given by Ghulam Mohammed and was released December 10, 1954. It won Best Feature Film at the 2nd National Film Awards. The cast of the film includes Bharat Bhushan, Durga Khote, Nigar Sultana, Mukri, Suraiya, Ulhas, and Murad. Mirza Ghalib is set in the time period of Bahadur Shah Zafar, where he was a poet. It revolves around the admiration of Moti Begum. Galib is married to “Begum”, she is a precious woman who is in love with her poet husband.
