Maacher Jhol

Macher Jhol is a 2017 Indian Bengali film presented by Sony Pictures Networks and Mojo Production directed by Pratim D. Gupta. It is the first Bengali food-centric film. The cast of the film includes Ritwick Chakraborty as Dev D, Arjun Chakrabarty as Palash, Paoli Dam as Sreela, and Mamata Shankar as Maa. The story revolves around re-owned Masterchef Dev D returning to Kolkata to his mother with a bowl of fish curry. Fish curry is one of the quintessential dishes in Bengali delicacy in India. There are many challenges he needs to face before he makes one final bowl of fish curry.
