Life of Josutty is a 2015 Malayalam comedy-drama film that follows the titular protagonist's life as his life gets turned upside down upon his marriage with Rose, a divorced nurse working in New Zealand. Josutty hails from a traditional Christian family from Kattappana, Idukki, and dreamt of becoming a priest as a child — only for him to fall in love with his childhood sweetheart, Jessy. But Jessy's family rejected Josutty's marriage proposal as his family is poor and in debt. The terrible financial condition compels Josutty to marry Rose, a divorced Malayali nurse in New Zealand, as she would take him along to New Zealand as well. But upon arriving in New Zealand, Josutty realises his life will never be the same owing to Rose's bipolar character and her extra-marital affair with an ex-boyfriend. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film features performances from Dileep, Jyothi Krishna, Rachana Narayanankutty, Chembil Ashokan, Renjini Rupesh, Hareesh Peradi, Krishna Praba, Suraj Venjarammoodu, and Nayanthara in a cameo role. Produced by Jayalal Menon, Anil Biswas, and Sunil Lulla under the banners of Eros International and Backwater Studios. The film marks Jeethu Joseph's second collaboration with Dileep, following their previous successful 2012 box-office venture My Boss.
