In the 2023 Indian Telugu-language film "Kota Bommali PS," directed by Teja Marni, the plot unfolds as Ravi, son of a deceased police officer, joins Kota Bommali station as a constable. Tasked with assisting senior constable Rama Krishna, Ravi befriends him quickly. Assigned to provide security for a crucial by-election in Tekkali, political tensions rise. A scuffle with local goon Munna leads to the trio—Ravi, Rama Krishna, and constable Kumari—fleeing after a fatal accident involving Rama Krishna's nephew Rahul. Accused of murder, they seek asylum in Orissa, facing pursuit by SP Razia Ali and her squad.
As the by-election approaches, political pressure mounts, prompting a staged arrest. However, Rama Krishna's revelation about an earlier coerced killing complicates matters. The trio, refusing to falsely implicate Rama Krishna, faces custody and transport to court. In a dramatic turn, evidence emerges in the form of Rama Krishna's suicide video note, leading to the acquittal of Ravi and Kumari. The film stars Srikanth as Rama Krishna, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as Razia Ali, Rahul Vijay as Ravi, and Shivani Rajashekar as Kumari, featuring cinematography by Jagadeesh Cheekati and music by Ranjin Raj and Midhun Mukundan. The intense narrative explores the nexus between politics and law enforcement, unraveling a gripping tale of moral dilemma and justice. The film was theatrically released on November 24, 2023.
