Kingdom of Heaven

Kingdom OF Heaven, a 2005 movie, is directed by Ridley Scott, streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. It is a historical drama film with action and adventure, starring Orlando Bloom as Balian Of Ibelin, Eva Green as Sibylla of Jerusalem, and Marton Csokas as Guy de Lusignan. The movie is set in the 12th century during the Crusades, when a blacksmith, Balian who is haunted by his wife’s suicide and later becomes the new Baron of Ibelin. His father Godfrey, succumbs to his injuries after ordering Balian to serve the King of Jerusalem. Later, Balian travels to his inherited estate at Ibelin, irrigates the dry and dusty lands using his erudition of engineering, and falls in love with Sibylla, Guy’s wife, whereas Guy plans to make war on the Muslims. The movie ends with the epilogue showing that in the coming thousand years also, it is difficult to find peace in the Holy Land. It came to attention that Ridley Scott received a dozen letters garnered with appreciations, thanks, and congratulations from Muslim groups for the sole reason of portraying the even-handed depiction of the religion.
