K.G.F. Chapter 2

KGF: Chapter 2, released in 2022, is an Indian Kannada-language period action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner. As the second instalment in a three-part series, it serves as a sequel to the 2018 film KGF: Chapter 1. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Rao Ramesh, Vasishta N. Simha, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Saran Shakti, Archana Jois, Easwari Rao, T.S Nagabharana, John Kokken and Malavika Avinash.

KGF: Chapter 2 is notable for its budget, making it the most expensive Kannada film ever produced, with an estimated cost of ₹100 crore. The film retained the same technical team as its predecessor, with Bhuvan Gowda handling cinematography and Ravi Basrur composing the score and songs.

Upon its theatrical release in India in April 2022, KGF: Chapter 2 received mixed reviews from critics but made a remarkable impact at the box office. KGF: Chapter 2 rapidly surpassed its predecessor's lifetime gross in just two days, becoming the highest-grossing Kannada film and the fourth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, with global earnings estimated between ₹1,200 and ₹1,250 crore.

Rocky takes center stage as he eliminates the heir apparent, Virat, and seizes control of the Kolar Gold Fields, all while keeping Reena, his girlfriend and later wife, hostage to ensure the cooperation of key figures like Guru Pandian, Andrews, Kamal, and Rajendra Desai. Tensions rise as Rocky's arrogance incites anger among his associates. In a shocking turn of events, Rocky shoots Kamal, setting off a chain of events that shapes the film's narrative.

The film also features an impressive cast, including Yash as Rocky, Sanjay Dutt as Adheera, Raveena Tandon as Prime Minister Ramika Sen, Srinidhi Shetty as Reena Desai, and Achyuth Kumar as Guru Pandian, a key figure in the DYSS Party.
