Kannur Squad

Based on the real-life story of a team of police officers who were part of the Kannur Squad, a crime investigation unit, put together by former Kannur Superintendent of Police S. Sreejith IPS, Kannur Squad is a Malayalam investigative crime-thriller film directed by Roby Varghese Raj. The plot follows the gripping saga of ASI George Martin and his team, the Kannur Squad, that consists of Jose, Jayan, and Shafi, and their challenging journey across the country to nab a criminal gang. The film features performances from Mammootty, Resh Lamba, Sajin Cherukayil, Shebin Benson, Rony David, N.P. Nisa, Shabareesh Varma, Deepak Parambol, Nalneesh Neel, Gibin Gopinath and Azeez Nedumangad in important roles. A critically acclaimed commercial blockbuster, the film has been produced by Mammootty himself, under the banner of his production company Mammootty Kampany. The film's soundtrack has been provided by Sushin Shyam, with lyrics from Vinayak Sasikumar.
