Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…, a 2001 movie, is directed by Karan Johar. It is a romantic-drama and family-based film. Rani Mukerji plays the role of Naina Kapoor, giving a special appearance in the movie. Rahul, played by Shah Rukh Khan, falls in love with a middle-class girl, Anjali Sharma from Chandni Chowk. Amitabh Bachchan as Yashvardhan Raichand denies accepting Anjali as his daughter-in-law due to his status in society. Thus, Rahul leaves India with his wife, Anjali, played by Kajol, and her little sister Pooja. Ten years later, Rahul’s brother, Rohan, leaves for London to get his brother back in India. Rahul, unknown to the fact that Rohan is his brother, behaves rudely and forbids Pooja to be around him. Rohan, played by Hrithik Roshan, invites Yash (Amitabh Bachchan) and Nandini played by Jaya Bachchan to visit him in London. They accidentally run into Rahul’s family which enrages Yash. Towards the end of the movie, Nandini stands up for his son, Rahul, and makes Yash realize that it was a mistake to disown their son. With their grandmother’s demise, both Rahul and Rohan come back home with Anjali and Pooja, played by Kareena Kapoor.
