Joy is a mother who wishes to give away her newborn baby and Mully is a boy who spends most of his time on the streets. Through the machinations of fate, they end up on a journey together and end up changing each other's lives forever. Directed by Emer Reynolds and written by Ailbhe Keogan, Joyride is a coming-of-age comedy film. Starring the effervescent Olivia Colman as Joy and newcomer Charlie Reid as Mully, the film was first premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh. The rest of the cast includes Ruth McCabe, Olwen Fouéré, David Pearse and Lochlann Ó Mearáin.
