Nagraj Manjule's film stars Amitabh Bacchan as a football coach for a ragtag team of underprivileged gully kids. The coach helps them believe in the strength of their dreams, hone their talent, and pave the road to success and visibility. Cutting through poverty, class prejudices, and the authorities unwilling to take a chance on them and to be persuaded by their abilities. It is based on the life of Vijay Barse, founder of Nagpur's NGO Slum Soccer. T Series and Tandav Entertainment have produced the film, with Zee Studios serving as the distributor. Nagraj Manjule, best known for his 2018 film Sairat, drew attention recently for his Vaikunth segment in Unpaused: Naya Safar, that released on Amazon Prime.
