Jerry Maguire, a 1996 movie, is directed by Cameron Crowe, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, and Netflix. It is a romantic-drama and sports film with a gist of comedy, starring Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. in the leads. The movie is inspired by Leigh Steinberg, a sports agent. The SMI (Sports Management International) management tends to turn against Jerry Maguire when the 35-year-old sports agent writes a mission statement. The statement mentions the perceived dishonesty in the sports management business and Jerry’s desire to work with fewer clients to produce a better personal relationship with them. Bonnie Hunt, in the role of Laurel Boyd, had to develop a dislike towards Tom Cruise in the movie, however, Bonnie says that it was hard for her to do so. Tom, on the other hand, admitted to thinking of this as a joke when Bonnie told him that they had worked together in Rain Man(1988).
