Jaane Jaan

Serving as an adaptation of Keigo Higashino's 2005 Japanese novel "The Devotion of Suspect X", Jaane Jaan is a Hindi mystery thriller film written and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Set in Kalimpong, West Bengal, the plot follows Maya D'Souza, a single mother who attempts to cover up the murder of Ajit, her ex-husband and a policeman himself, with assistance from Naren, her neighbour. The film features performances from Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma in the lead roles. Written by Sujoy Ghosh himself, the film has been produced by Jay Shewakramani, Akshai Puri, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, Shobha Kapoor, and Ekta Kapoor under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures, 12th Street Entertainment, Kross Pictures, Boundscript, Miracle Pictures, and Northern Lights Films. With Avik Mukhopadhyay directing the cinematography, the film features songs from Sachin-Jigar, and a score from Clinton Cerejo.
