Hunt for the Wilderpeople

Hunt for the Wilderpeople, a 2016 movie, is directed by Taika Waititi, streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. It is a comedy-drama and adventure film, based on the book “Wild Pork and Watercress” by Barry Crump. The movie stars Sam Neill, Julian Dennison, and Rima Te Wiata. The movie shows Ricky Baker, played by Julian Dennison, who is abandoned by his mother. He is taken by child welfare services and given to a foster mother, Bella Faulkner, played by Rima Te Wiata and her husband. Later, Bella suddenly dies, and the situation forces Ricky and Hector Faulkner, Bella’s husband, to hide in the forest and disappear into the bush, leading the movie into a funnier space and hilarious journey. It came into notice that the news presenters shown in the movie were real news presenters at the time of the production and development of this film.
