Hindi Medium, a 2017 movie, is directed by Saket Chaudhary. It is a comedy-drama movie starring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the leads. Raj Batra, and Mita Batra want their daughter, Pia, to get admission to a prestigious school so that she gets to be a part of the elite group. The couple also takes help from a consultant Sikha to get through interviews, but they got rejected because of their limited educational knowledge of English. Even though there is no lack of money in the Batra family, the same money wasn't helping them to get through a school. Later, Raj gets to know from one of his employees that poor people can admit their child to Delhi Grammar School through the RTE quota. Raj, Mita, and Pia move to Bharat Nagar, a slum area, to pretend to be poor and prove the officials from the school the same. Shyam and Tulsi from the same slum teach them how to lead a poor life, who also wants their son to get admission in the same school. After struggling, Pia gets into the school, but Mohan doesn't get through. Raj is frustrated by the modern education system and breaks through the Annual Day function, giving a speech about English and Hindi-medium School. He leaves the auditorium with his wife and Pia, and they decide to let Pia get her education from Bharat Nagar Government School just like Mohan.
