Hey Sinamika

"Hey! Sinamika" is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Brinda, marking her directorial debut. The film, produced by Jio Studios and Global One Studios, stars Dulquer Salmaan as Yaazhan, Aditi Rao Hydari as Mouna, and Kajal Aggarwal as Dr. Malarvizhi. The story, written by Madhan Karky, is an adaptation of the 2008 Argentine film "A Boyfriend for My Wife." Cinematography is handled by Preetha Jayaraman, and the music is composed by Govind Vasantha.

The plot revolves around the lives of Yaazhan, a software engineer, and Mouna, a paleotempestologist, who meet and fall in love in Kochi. After two years of marriage, Mouna becomes annoyed by Yaazhan's excessive affection and talkativeness. She decides to separate from him and gets a transfer to Pondicherry. To facilitate their separation, Mouna recruits Dr Malarvizhi, a relationship counsellor. The plan is for Malarvizhi to make Yaazhan fall in love with her, allowing Mouna to use this as an excuse to divorce him.

However, things take an unexpected turn as Malarvizhi and Yaazhan form a close bond. Tensions rise when Yaazhan discovers Mouna's true intentions and leaves for Chennai, initiating divorce proceedings. Mouna realizes her mistake and apologizes to Malarvizhi. Eventually, Yaazhan and Mouna reunite, realizing their deep love for each other.

As the story unfolds, it delves into the emotional journey of the characters, ultimately leading to a heartwarming reunion.
