Grandmaster

Produced under the banner UTV Motion Pictures and directed by B. Unnikrishnan, “Grandmaster”, a 2012 movie, falls into the action-thriller genre. It stars Mohanlal as IG Chandrasekhar IPSand Priyamani as Advocate Deepthi. This Malayalam movie is streaming on Netflix, Jio Cinema, and MX Player. This film marks Priyamani’s first duo with Mohanlal, which depicts a story of an IPS officer, Chandrasekhar, who receives a challenging note from a stranger. With time, Chandrasekhar overcomes his trauma and emptiness of his failed marriage by solving this case. Director B.Unnikrishnan, inspired by his movie’s name, opened a multi-cuisine restaurant in 2016 in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram, with the name “Grand Master’s Kitchen.”
