"Ghar Banduk Biryani" (GBB), a 2023 Indian Marathi-language action comedy film, marks Hemant Jangal Awtade's directorial debut. The film's plot revolves around the village of Kolagad, plagued by dacoits led by Commander Pallam, who seeks to eliminate the local MLA and avenge the death of his lover, Maria. The arrival of honest cop Raya Patil in the region, after a confrontation with a minister's sons, disrupts his family life. Meanwhile, Raju, a chef at a local dhaba, falls in love with Lakshmi but faces the challenge of securing a house to marry her. Pallam's gang kidnaps Raju, impressed by his biryani reminiscent of Maria's cooking, and forces him to cook for them. As their paths intersect, Raya struggles to save his home (Ghar), Raju needs a gun (Banduk) to pose as a dacoit and win a reward for settling down with Lakshmi, and Pallam longs for Maria and her biryani, aiming to keep Raju with his gang for that purpose.
