Serving as a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Gadar 2 is a Hindi period action drama film directed and produced by Anil Sharma. Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the plot follows Tara Singh as he returns to Pakistan to get his son Charanjeet back, in the backdrop of an anti-India campaign in Pakistan called "Crush India". The film features performances from Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, and Aamir Naik.
