In the South African criminal documentary Finding Freedom, Malcolm Booysen and Franklin Esau, who were recently freed from jail, are followed as they reevaluate their lives. Following a rigorous recovery program, Franklin and Malcolm have made a lifelong commitment to being Change Agents—people who live their lives with the purpose of igniting change in both their communities and themselves. Ten years later, Franklin and Malcolm are still compelled to reevaluate what true freedom means to them and the responsibilities that go along with it because of their shared interests for hip-hop and spinning vehicles. Neither of them can predict the obstacles life will present or the individuals they will grow into as a result. The film is directed by Roxanne Dalton.
