Directed by B. Ajithkumar, a 2018 film, “Eeda” stars Shane Nigam as Anand Balakrishnan and Nimisha Sajyan as Aishwarya Gopal. This Malayalam romantic movie is streaming on Netflix. The movie is set in the backdrop of political violence in Kannur and North Malabar. It takes a modern version of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and depicts the story of Anand and Aishwarya, who fall in love despite their families being mortal enemies from opposing political parties. With his directorial debut, Ajithkumar comes up with a script involving longingness, love, pain, and violence.
