Daagdi Chaawl

Dagadi Chaawl is a 2015 Indian-Marathi language drama film directed by Chandrakant Kanse. The film follows the story of Surya, a simple man living an ordinary life gets dragged into the world of crime. The background of Mumbai’s 80’s and 90’s chawl, is the setup for this film. Surya, wanting to settle down and get married, lands himself in a situation where he must confront the bad guy, ‘Daddy’. Daddy is a politician who used to be a gangster. Surya plays the game of mafia in order to get away from it. No matter how much he runs away from Dagadi Chawl he lands himself in trouble and in the underworld itself.
