Cheer Haran

Kuldeep Rahil's directorial revolves around the violence that cataclymsed the Jat reservation andolan in Haryana in 2016. It claims to porbe deep into the sources and repercussions of the violence in the conflicts, in sociological register. The film explores how the peaceful protests shifted gears and exploded into full fledged sectarian bloodshed, culminating in some thirty deaths. It asks if the violence could have been thoroughly avoided and examines the sociopolitical fabric of Haryana, that bred the possibility for such an incident. Kuldeep has earlier worked on the 2020 Bobby Deol starring series, Aashram, He has also acted in the 2013 film, Kajarya.
