Chandani - The Daughter of the Elephant Whisperer

A young Sri Lankan girl, Chandani, wants to break into the male dominated profession of mahouts - the caregivers of elephants. Her supportive father, himself a mahout, brings her an elephant calf Kandula so she can begin her training. Chandani does well as a trainee mahout and even impresses forest officers with her skills. In a heartbreaking setback, forest rangers take Kandula away from her. Will Chandani be able to pursue her dream of becoming the first Sri Lankan female mahout?
