Bhediya

Inspired by Arunachal Pradesh's Legend of a shape-shifting werewolf called Yapum who wants to protect the jungle even if they need to resort to murder, Bhediya is a 2022 Hindi horror-comedy film that serves as the third installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe created by Dinesh Vijan following 2018's Stree and 2021's Roohi. Set in the forests of Arunachal, the plot follows Bhaskar who gets a road building contract from a infrastructure company and travels with his cousin to Guwahati for the project. However a series of unfortunate events occur one night as Bhaskar and his friends were traveling, their car breaks down in the jungle, where Bhaskar is traced by a wolf and gets bitten on his butt. After this incident Bhaskar's behavior and body begins to change and suspects that he is turning into a Werewolf — a suspicion which proves to be true as he gains the powers and attributes of one. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film has been produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under the banner of Maddock Films and Jio Studios. The film features performances from Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal, and Paalin Kabak among others. The film's soundtrack has been provided by Sachin-Jigar.
