Beauty And The Beast

Directed by Christophe Gans, Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête) is a 2014 French film adapted from the popular fairy tale of the same name. The movie stars Léa Seydoux (who has also starred in The French Dispatch 2021 and Spectre 2015) as Belle and Vincent Cassel (who has also starred in Irréversible 2002 and Black Swan 2010) as the Beast. The plot follows the age-old story of Belle going to the Beast’s castle as punishment for her father picking a red rose from the Beast’s garden after receiving his hospitality. Though she is a prisoner she ends up falling in love with the Beast only to realize that he is the prince that she has been having dreams about at night. The film received a nomination for the People's Choice Award for Best European Film at the 27th European Film Awards. The movie’s cast list includes Eduardo Noriega, André Dussollier, and Myriam Charleins among others.
