Bazaar

Directed by Sagar Sarhadi, Bazaar is a 1982 Indian film starring Smita Patil, Farooq Shaikh & Naseeruddin Shah. Najma, a run-away is living in Mumbai in order to marry her love Akhtar. Akhtar comes to her house and tells her the only possible way for them to get married is by taking help from Shakir Khan. Najma is skeptical of Shakir but eventually agrees to host him at her house. In Hyderabad, Sarju and Shabnam are in love but at an event Shakir Khan sees Shabnam and is quickly drawn towards her. Shakir offers to marry Shabnam and her parents agree as he was a rich man.Sad Shabnam, commits suicide at the night of her wedding. The film focuses on the message of selling girls for money and how it affects individuals.
