Isolated in 1950s Italy, the villagers of Africo face tragedy when a woman dies in childbirth due to a lack of road access. Led by newcomer Giulia, a passionate teacher played by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, the entire town unites - including children - to build a road to the outside world. This emotional drama, directed by Mimmo Calopresti is about resilience.
