Appatha

Appatha is a 2023 Tamil family drama film directed by Priyadarshan with the theme of overcoming one’s fears. The movie focuses on Kannamma, also called Appatha, who has lived her whole life in the village of Kaayilanpatti but is now invited to Chennai by her son. Appatha who is deathly afraid of dogs is in for a surprise when she learns that her son has a dog in his apartment. Things get even more complicated for her when she learns that her son invited her to take care of the dog when the rest of the family was going on a vacation. Now she has to stay alone with the dog and learn to overcome her childhood fear. Urvashi and Siddharth Babu are two of the movie’s cast members.
