The film revolves around the large family of the half-brothers Kasiappan (Saravanan) and Muthu Pandi (Cheran). Each one has three other brothers, with their own families. There are twelve families with a total of thirty-odd members that constitute this vast family whose saga this film relates in a light-spirited manner. Director Nandha Periyasamy etches the various characters and their equations with one another in a well-rounded ensemble drama. Beneath the laughter and free-spiritedness, there are deep-seated resentments and misgivings and simmering anger. It features an array of actors —Cheran, Shivathmika Rajashekar, Mounika, Saravanan, Snehan, Jacqueline, Myna, Sujatha, and Singampuli — engaged in an amicable tussle. The film was shot in Dindigul and Vathalagundu. Balabharani (Mayandi Kudumbathar) is handling the cinematography for this film, the music of which has been scored by Sivappu Manjal Pachai-fame Siddhu Kumar. National award-winning editor NB Srikant has edited the film.
