Aguner Poroshmoni

Directed and written by Humayun Ahmed, Aguner Poroshmoni is a Bengali drama film released in 1994. The film stars Bipasha Hayat, Shila Ahmed, Dolly Johur, Asaduzzaman Noor, Abul Hayat and several others. It is the first film directed by Humayun Ahmed. The story is based on the novel “Aguner Poroshmoni”, written by Humayun Ahmed himself. The film revolves around a guy named Alam, who has planned some guerrilla attacks against the Pakistan army. But Alam’s comrades are tortured and killed by them and even he gets injured. The film has won as many as 8 awards at the National Film Awards including the award for Best Film, Best Plot and Best Director.
