Aatmapamphlet

 Atmapamphlet is a poignant portrayal of the life of Ashish, a young boy hailing from the Dalit community in Maharashtra in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Directed by the Ashish Bende in his debut, the film intricately weaves the tale of Ashish's journey as he falls deeply in love with a classmate belonging to the Brahmin community, despite being labeled as a member of the so-called "lower caste." Bende draws inspiration from his own experiences while growing up and skillfully portrays the struggles and obstacles that Ashish and his friends face as they navigate their way through the divisive caste system and overcome the tumultuous socio-political changes of their time. Through their unbreakable bond of kinship and friendship, Ashish and his friends, who hail from different castes and religions, strive to triumph over the challenges that life throws their way.
