Aaj Ka Daur (1985) is a Hindi film that reflects a time in India's history that is often ignored. The movie follows the lives of various tenants in a building owned by Seth Fakirchand, played by Prem Chopra, including Raja, played by Jackie Shroff, Durga Agnihotri played by Padmini Kolhapure, and her mother Laxmi Agnihotri, played by Nirupa Roy, among others.
